What is vig?
Vig (vigorish) — also called juice — is the bookmaker's built-in profit margin. On a standard -110/-110 line, both sides imply more than 50% probability. Those implied probabilities add up to more than 100%, and that excess is the vig. It's the tax you pay on every bet, win or lose.
How to read these results
Total vig — the bookmaker's margin. A standard -110/-110 line has 4.55% vig. Anything above 5% is high; above 8% is very high.
Implied probability — what the odds say each side's chance of winning is, including the vig baked in.
True probability — the implied probability with the vig removed. This is the book's actual estimate of the outcome.
Break-even win % — how often you need to win this bet just to break even. On -110, that's 52.4%.
